To those who have stumbled upon this blog: I’m taking some time off to work on another project. I plan to return to this in December, when I’ll finish Part II and start Part III, which is the other long section of the Dobbs decision.

There are fifty sentences left in Part II, and I hope to finish those by the end of the year so I can move on to Part III, Part IV, and Part V (which is where the majority addresses the dissent). At that point I’m going to switch from merely noting the sentences to pitting the decision against the dissent and identifying the original points of tension that must have been discussed at the time.

I might do some things differently, such as limiting my commentary on undetermined claims, but I haven’t decided yet. In any case—I’ll be back.
