Dobbs Sentences #128: Part II B 3

As always, you can find the Dobbs v. Jackson decision here.

Paragraph 10 of 11

Sentence 1 of 2

One claim in this sentence:

“There is ample evidence that the passage of these laws was instead spurred by a sincere belief that abortion kills a human being.”

That’s a motive, too, right? Certainly held by some—maybe even most—but it would be irresponsible to ascribe it to all of them, right?

I’m being unfair again. Absent a definition of “ample,” there’s nothing here that can be verified or falsified, so we’ll just have to see what comes next. I hope there’s some support coming, but for now this is undetermined:

  • “There is ample evidence that the passage of these laws was instead spurred by a sincere belief that abortion kills a human being.”
