Dobbs Sentences #98: Part II B 2 d

As always, you can find the Dobbs v. Jackson decision here.

Paragraph 1 of 1

Sentence 1 of 3

Part II B 2 d is only one paragraph long—only three sentences—and the first sentence in this paragraph contains a single claim:

“The inescapable conclusion is that a right to abortion is not deeply rooted in the Nation’s history and traditions.”

“Inescapable” is a strong word. Bold choice.

If everything in this section is true, and if what is claimed in this section is all there is to the story, then this claim is true. Many people have disputed the Dobbs decision, though, and I have no doubt that many of those disagreements involve claims in this section, so we will see. For now, though, this is undetermined:

  • “The inescapable conclusion is that a right to abortion is not deeply rooted in the Nation’s history and traditions.”
