As always, you can find the Dobbs v. Jackson decision here.
Paragraph 4 of 5
Sentences 5 and 6 of 6
The last two sentences of this paragraph can be dealt with together, since neither can be confirmed in the moment:
“Accordingly, laws regulating or prohibiting abortion are not subject to heightened scrutiny. Rather, they are governed by the same standard of review as other health and safety measures.”
Since the first sentence requires the confirmation of claims earlier in the paragraph that have not been confirmed, this sentence also can’t be confirmed. And the second sentence points us to footnote 18, which reads:
“We discuss this standard in Part VI of this opinion.”
I’ll hold off digging into that claim, since we’ll get to Part VI eventually. I’ll come back and reconsider this after that section is examined. Until then, we have two sentences that contain one claim each, and both of those claims are undetermined:
“Accordingly, laws regulating or prohibiting abortion are not subject to heightened scrutiny.”
“Rather, they are governed by the same standard of review as other health and safety measures.”
